Why Moving To Colorado Springs May Be Your Best Idea Yet

Are you considering a major life change? Do you have the means and the opportunity to pick up and move to a new home in a new town? Colorado Springs may be just the destination for you. There are a number of reasons why it is a great place to live. Read on to find out more.

1. The Price Is Right

Colorado Springs is a large city with a lot to do, but real estate prices are surprisingly reasonable. In fact, in comparison with other cities in the state, Colorado Springs decidedly has an advantage when it comes to the cost of housing.

2. There Aren’t Many Bugs

Colorado as a whole doesn’t have a huge bug problem. There aren’t many mosquitoes, and while you may run into a few moths after summer ends, they disappear pretty quickly (before the cold weather sets in). It makes it a lot easier to enjoy the beautiful weather when you don’t have to worry about pests interrupting your plans!

3. The Schools Are Excellent

Even if you don’t have a family right now, great schools can make a difference when it comes to the resale value of a home. Colorado Springs has an excellent education system; the public schools compare favorably against others in the state and there are also higher learning opportunities as well. There is, for example, a branch of the University of Colorado situated in town.

4. The Mountains Are Close

You can see the mountains from Colorado Springs, which means that you are treated to picturesque views all year long. However, you aren’t situation right in the middle of the mountains, which means that the weather is not quite as chilly as it would be otherwise. In fact, the weather is fantastic; it averages 80s in the summer, 60s in the fall and spring and 40s in the winter.

If you are interested in moving, there are a lot of reasons why Colorado Springs might be the right place for you. Do your research and really think about what you want to do. Ultimately, you have to be happy with whatever life path you choose. However, keep in mind that Colorado Springs has a little something to offer everyone: great weather, good jobs, and a low cost of living. It is certainly worth a second (and third!) look.
